I used this paper also for my program 1 outcomes, but one of the key aspects of this paper was the Native American requested that the Federal government  separate the Native American race from white in census so they can identify risk and needs. The use of a racial distinction within EPIC has been implemented to help Medicare and Medicaid track use of funds and identify needs within this population. This has helped improved health care needs and provide solid data of risks and areas of concern.
